This is my Sci fi scene for the Aqua Bot that i recently created : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/P66blZ
I modelled and rendered this scene in maya, Arnold and composited it all together with the post effects in Nuke.
This robot character was an exciting journey that allowed me to push my skills in texturing and lighting. This project was a departure from organic modeling, and I approached it with the goal of capturing a futuristic, industrial aesthetic with a blend of artistic touch. My main aim was to make the robot feel realistic and visually captivating, using detailed textures and dynamic lighting to bring it to life.
I wanted to create a lighting setup that would accentuate the textures and give the robot a dramatic, cinematic feel. The goal was to emphasize the textures and give the character a powerful, almost imposing presence.
In the end, completing this robot character artwork was a milestone for me. The project deepened my skills in texturing and lighting, and it gave me a greater appreciation for the level of detail needed to make a 3D model look believable. This robot character represents my growth as a 3D artist and serves as a foundation for future projects that involve realistic materials and complex lighting setups.
